If Only...
You could see what I see
If only I could scoop out
my eyes, and place them
in your head, when looking
in the mirror, you’d see
a different person
standing before you.
If I could hoover
up the mist in your
mind, dispersing grey
with a clear, cool breeze,
perhaps then, you’d
see what I see.
If I could catch
your bad thoughts
like fish and consume
them, digest them,
and dispose of them,
we’d make room for
a new ecosystem.
All I have are words.
I’ll use them.
Encourage.
Praise.
Assure.
They often land
on skin, and stay there,
warming the hearth,
but there’s no fuel
for a fire
to catch.
If…
Only.

Few words, yet they powerfully capture so much and are so deeply heartfelt. Bravo, Taro Juan, and thank you for sharingXXX
